Adam Starr holds a PhD in Composition at the University of Melbourne and received Associate Representation with the Australian Music Centre at the same time. He also has a Masters in Composition for the Screen. Adam has scored 5 feature film scores, over 30 short films, music for television, jingles and music for theatre. Most recently, Code of Silence, a documentary featuring Adam's original music, won the 2014 Walkley Documentary Award. He has been involved in different projects in recent years, performing at jazz festivals and clubs in Europe and Australasia with Frock, the Alter Jazz Ensemble, the Adam Starr Online Project, the Australian Jewish Music Ensemble and the Ashes Quartet. He has arranged the songs of Joe Camilleri, Rebecca Barnard, Dave Graney and the Blackeyed Susans for the Stonnington Symphony Orchestra's Under the Stars concerts from 2012-2016. He is also a lecturer at Melbourne Polytechnic for the Bachelor of Music program.
