In a patriarchal world of intellectual elitism, one unnamed working-class woman in the Talmud stands out as a person of unusual intelligence and wit. She was a maid in the house of R' Yehudah HaNasi, the author of the Mishna. In this session we'll explore this "handmaid's tale", and discuss a critical question for modern Jewry: how can we make sure that no one's voice is lost?
